ABOUT

The Full Story

My name is Eric Yanes. I was born in February of '97, which makes me something like the godfather of Generation-Z. I created this website for my fellow Gen-Zers who may feel that they have no good reasons to hold to a perennial conservative philosophy.

What do I mean by a perennial conservative philosophy? I mean a set of beliefs that have endured through western history and culture for thousands of years, and which many still hold today: belief in a transcendent higher power, in objective moral values and duties, in the importance of a traditional family structure, in natural law, in the importance of personal responsibility, and in the inalienable dignity of every human life.

We are living in a world which is rapidly abandoning the pillars of Faith and Reason, upon which the mighty edifice of Western Civilization was built. Worseover, the West is in the midst of a massive culture that has launched a relentless attack on the foundational notions which have propelled our civilization through history.
Many young people now feel there is little reason to believe in such "antiquated" ideas as personal freedom, moral responsibility, individual agency, financial conservatism, an economic future, etc. I have found many of my friends have fallen prey to terrible philosophical ideas and easily refuted arguments purely because they have never seen an opposing side.

I created this website to help people my age to understand that we don’t have to give in to a rising tide of modernist philosophy. It is in our power to turn back to the guiding principles that made our civilization great. We not only have good reasons to be conservatives, we have better reasons to be a conservative than anything else.
